Discrimination as a Social Determinant of Mental Health Disparities

The goal of this 1-day workshop is to bring together a group of expert investigators, NIH staff, community members, and other interested parties to examine the current state of the science of discrimination and mental health disparities, and to identify research gaps and opportunities in (1) prevention and treatment intervention development, testing, and optimization and (2) implementation of evidence-based interventions that address the negative mental health effects of discrimination.
