Provide drug and alcohol prevention to school districts in an 7-county area which include Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, and Victoria counties. The goal of the Youth Prevention Selected Program (YPS) is to preclude the onset of the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use by youth and to foster the development of positive social and physical environments that promote healthy and drug-free lifestyles. Mid-Coast Staff also provide presentations on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in a variety of settings for adults and youth. These presentations are conducted at schools, church groups, businesses, and other community and professional groups.
