Serves families with children from birth up to 36 months of age with developmental delays or disabilities. ECI providers work with families and caregivers by coaching them on ways to include activities to promote their child’s growth and development into the child and family’s daily activities. This approach allows the family to work daily with their child using the activities they learned.Anyone can make a referral – parents, doctors, family friends, child care providers, grandparents, foster parents, or others. If you notice your child is not reaching developmental milestones by a certain age, you can make a referral to ECI. Here are a few milestone examples: My child is not:. Rolling. Crawling. Sitting.
