Provides law enforcement services for the city of Kyle.Accepts and investigates reports of crime, graffiti, and noise concerns. Maintains law enforcement records, such as: accident reports and arrest records. Accepts requests for open records. Dispatches a Mental Health Officer to respond to citizens experiencing a mental health crisis.Provides animal control services. Provides pet and animal registration.Accepts and investigates reports of animal cruelty, animal bites/scratches, and stray/loose animals. Offers a Vacation Watch Program, where police checks residences or businesses while they out of town.Participates in National Night Out, a community-police awareness-raising event held each year.Offers a Citizen’s Police Academy, a course designed to introduce citizens to the mission and operations of the police department.
