Responds to calls to assist persons in an apparent mental health crisis, and conducts proactive and follow-up investigations on individuals who repeatedly require police intervention. Pairs a uniformed CIT-trained officer with a licensed mental health professional from the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD. This division is also tasked with responsibility for Homeless Outreach Team (HOT).
