Communities in Schools of the Permian Basin (CIS) is a collaborative effort between Greenwood Independent School District, Midland Independent School District and Ector County Independent School District dedicated to helping young people stay in school, successfully learn, and prepare for life. CIS’s goal is to help reduce the number of schools dropouts, improve participants academics, attendance, behavior, and to enable students to advance to the next grade and earn a high school diploma. Services include supportive guidance and counseling, health and human services, parental and family engagement, college and career awareness, enrichment activities, academic enhancement, and support.
