Provides inpatient psychiatric services and inpatient substance abuse services for adults.Conducts brief phone assessments from licensed Behavioral Healthcare Navigators, who connect individuals the following inpatient programs: Adult Mental Health Inpatient Program provides diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who are in acute crisis due to mental illness, emotional distress, or destructive behavior patterns, and for individuals experiencing difficult life transitions or problems coping with daily life. Inpatient Alcohol/Chemical Dependency Detox Program offers adult inpatient detoxification programs for patients 18 years and older. Medical stabilization is the primary goal of detox program, while the Dual Recovery Inpatient component is designed specifically for patients with a mental illness and a dependency. Mood Disorders provides diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who are in acute crisis due to mental illness, mood disorders, emotional distress, or destructive behavior patterns, and for individuals experiencing difficult life transitions or problems coping with daily life. Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides an inpatient unit designed to care for patients in acute crisis who are at risk of harming themselves or others.Shoal Creek Hospital does not offer walk-in evaluations and admissions. Individuals in need of immediate, in-person emergency psychiatric services may go to the nearest hospital emergency room or contact Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES).
