This is a weekly workshop that meets once a week for two months. In this workshop each week there is a theme with a journal prompt. The group is guided using information from SAMHSA, several organizations and institutions about mental health recovery for depression, anxiety, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and schizophrenia.
The goal is to give hope and resourceful scientifically acclaimed information on wellness recovery through journaling. The prompt include how to create a psychiatric advance directive, a safety plan, strengths, and coping skills when symptoms worsen. This is a peer centered self-directed wellness support group. This support group does not substitute a clinical psychologist appointment or prompt any medication.
