Participants will learn key strategies and practical method to implement prevention in the urban and black community. The presenters review African American history and how it impacts the way organizations learn and ultimately define what prevention is or is not for their targeted population. Participants will explore what the national data offers about African Americans drug and mental health concerns, learn specific prevention principles, and how to apply these principles within the African American/urban communities.
